In its new show "Sing & Swing", CHARLATAN TRANSFER takes you on a bus tour of 20 standards. Relax and let yourself go, the trip is organized for you, all you gotta do is make yourself comfortable in your seat: the twelve performers will see to your every need.

The trip takes you on a tour of musical delights from different countries, allowing you to taste the ambiance of each location. First, a group stroll down the streets of Paris, then a road trip across US Route 66 with its legendary truck driver's blues. Take a detour in Brazil ... ah, but don't forget the early departure, the tour group life with its short-lived romances, its friendships, disputes, the inevitable night clubbing experiences in which participation is mandatory!

The show reflects all the variety of Charlatan Transfer's repertoire: the harmonies, Latin rhythms, calm or dramatic a cappella ballads, and blues in 12/8 time. These are all the facets of jazz, hot, swing, bop and Latin music, which are performed during the show.

A trio (piano, double bass, drums) further supports the ensemble, and sets the mood with finesse. To ensure a musical balance, each performer is equipped with an individual microphone. The purpose of this practice is not to amplify the volume of the music, but simply to ensure that a musical balance is struck among all the musicians and singers. CHARLATAN TRANSFER works with its regular sound technician whose contribution is indispensable to the sound of the group.
